Sensible gifting: Wal-Ro-Puppets

When you buy one of our Waldorf Puppets, it is not only your child, godchild or grandchild who is happy – you are also doing a good deed at the same time.

The puppets are produced exclusively for ROKPA – a group of committed men and women in the Swiss canton of Wallis saw and knit diligently under the leadership of Marlis Lüscher, who has been an advocate of ROKPA for many years.

„Wal-Ro“ is an abbreviation of Waldorf and ROKPA. Waldorf puppets are rag dolls made in accordance with the pedagogy of Rudolf Steiner, whereupon children need a soft doll with a simple facial expression in order to creatively develop during their playtime.

The Wal-Ro puppets and animals are made of natural materials such as wool and cotton, produced by hand and can be washed, with proper care.
Body material: Swiss tricot, Oeko-Tex certified. Filling material: doll fiber fill, Oeko-Tex certified, or sheep wool.

The complete proceeds from the Wal-Ro puppets go to the children in need in the Panze Ragpa primary school in the Tibetan areas of China. In emergencies, such as the earthquake in Nepal, the proceeds can be temporarily directed to where help is needed most urgently.
