First in India, and then in Nepal and Tibet, we have been able to help many thousands of people in need, thanks to regular contributions by sponsors. A home and basic education have been provided for street children and orphans. Widows, the old and the destitute have been saved from having to beg. Much of this has been achieved through sponsorship by individual donors.
Regular contributions from sponsors make up quite a large proportion of ROKPA's income and this has been extremely useful in funding many people, particularly street children and orphans. We wish to encourage sponsorships and for this reason we are offering sponsorships for groups or projects such as groups of children or whole institutions such as schools, nurseries, workshops, education centres and clinics, etc.
The sponsors know exactly into what project their money is put. They will receive a regular newsletter or they can request information at any time about the progress of their supported project. Since sponsorships of groups or projects reduce the administrative expenses, ROKPA is able to use the donations more effectively.
