As an international charity, ROKPA is unique. We support around 150 projects whose primary goal is to help the very poorest of the poor in the most remote regions of the world, in places where other charitable organisations have found it difficult to initiate and sustain humanitarian work.
ROKPA’s work focuses on countries and regions where providing humanitarian aid is particularly challenging but desperately needed. We believe it is vital to base our projects on direct requests for help and to respect the cultural values of the people seeking our aid.

In order to help people in these forgotten areas in the most efficient way possible, ROKPA consciously avoids political activity. Instead, we aim to forge a dialogue with the local authorities with a view to establishing sustainable long-term support measures.
ROKPA is politically neutral. It is a non-religious organisation. ROKPA’s help comes from human empathy. Gifted people from all over the world share their skills and experience to give others a chance. Most ROKPA staff in all 20 countries work on a voluntary basis.
