ROKPA focuses its activities on some of the world’s most secluded regions in a particularly sensitive political environment. In places where similar organisations rarely work, ROKPA is taking forward several desperately needed projects initiated by local communities.  It is and remains ROKPA’s aim to help people to help themselves.

It is ROKPA’s aim to relieve suffering wherever needed, regardless of religion and culture.

ROKPA has offices in twenty countries, where hundreds of volunteers are raising funds for over one hundred and fifty ROKPA projects in Tibetan areas of China, Nepal, Zimbabwe and South Africa.  More >

ROKPA is headed by the Tibetan doctor and lama Dr. Akong Tulku Rinpoche and the Swiss actress Lea Wyler.
